Commissioned as part of National Trust ‘People’s Landscapes’, sited within the Chapel at Barber-Booth (Edale), this installation was part of the ‘Be Kinder’ cultural art trail curated by Jarvis Cocker and Jeremy Deller.  Using direct iconography from our Spirit of Kinder project, and in response to the chapel environment, this temporary installation comprised of five large light boxes representing LOVE, ACCESS, VOICE, CARE and DISCOVERY of Kinder Scout in the Dark Peak.

Taking into consideration the sensitive nature and character of this listed building, the light boxes powerfully illuminated the visual impact of each design, the chapel environment allowing for peaceful reflection and contemplation of the natural world.

INSTAR, artists Trish Evans and Nick Humphreys were commissioned as part of the BE KINDER art trail in the Peak District, curated by Jarvis Cocker and Jeremy Deller. This commission included 5 light boxes mounted on plinths, in Edale Chapel.
